The Mind's I

Perspective...
Here's the joke of the day:

When John Glenn returns from space, everybody dress in Ape Suits.

Pass it on.

I thought this was hilariously funny! If you don't get it, I suggest watching Planet of the Apes... then watch Spaceballs again, because if you didn't get it then, you will after watching PotA!

Sleeping Beauty

IkoI slept well last night, Constant Readers. The books on tape work beautifuly and I think that my woes of not having my TV are in the past. This means that I will need to go downstairs and watch TV with Mike if necessary. I know that will cut down on the amount of shows that I watch (no more Xena and Hercules, I think), but there are some good points in that too. I get to work on web-stuff more and perhaps I can read more. Hmm.. this isn't a bad deal. I can also start paying more attention to Mike. That would be a Good Thing(tm).

Not too much for today's entry. Just two photographs I took on the bus to work today. This is Fashion Week in New York City. I think they are showing off the spring collections. There is something called "Seven on Seventh", where several huge tents are put up in Bryant Park (I think that's the name of it. Right by the New York Public Library) and they have a number of designers show off their collections there. All this week, I have contemplated calling in late work for work and try to sneak in and see the designers as a photographer. Maybe I will try that in the spring. Hmm?

Seven on Seven

I've also decided that I'm definitely going down to the Philly Munch with Christine. Oo, this is going to be fun fun fun! It's always exciting meeting a new online community that I haven't had much real contact with before. When I was younger, I couldn't really participate in anything, because of my parental restrictions. Now that I'm older, I can experience these get togethers without my parents looming over my shoulder. It'll be fun! It's nifty to think of myself saying, "Road trip!" and yelling it out to everyone. I never got to really do that in college. I was always envious after hearing about Allenites going down to New Orleans or Memphis just for the heck of it. I never got a chance to do that. Now I do. It's a Good Thing(tm).
