Commuter Tales
observations of a daily traveller

the womanI'm sitting next to a woman who is flipping through what looks like the latest issue of Cosmo. She is wearing this leopard print jacket that matches her dyed blonde chunked hair. The patches of brown peek through her hair which is held up with gaudy silver glitter plastic clips. I find it fascinating how she turns the pages with her dark blue polished nails. They are slightly chipped, probably evidence of a nail-biting habit that many of her species exhibit. Her expression is serious, her mouth turned down that gives her a frowning expression. A smile never crosses her lips the entire trip. Her forehead switches between heavily furrowed and slight raises of a single brow as she reads her magazine.
