Question
----------

Bear with me... I'm still on a Harold and Maude kick.

Maude: ...Oh, Harold, look!

Harold: What? (He looks out.) It's just a seagull.

Maude: Dreyfuss once wrote that on Devils' Island he would see the most glorious birds. Many years later in Britanny he realized they had only been seagulls. Come along, Harold, to me they will always be glorious birds.

Is there something that you've found amazing in your life that later, discovered that it wasn't what you had thought it was... but still see it with amazement and wonder?
