Vicki Jean

Vicki Jean of chez xx journal sent me a surprise in the mail. A Valentine's Day card. I didn't give away Valentine's Day cards this yearand I felt that I should do something special as a token of my appreciation. I wandered around her website a bit when it dawned on me: I could make a graphic for her! Something that showcases her and something Valentine-y. I quickly spotted the beautiful script in the title of her journal and I grabbed that. I then got a vision.

The vision was of a glass or jewelled heart over her journal's name. Something pinkish. I then set off on my mission. With the help of Tasha of Girl, Interrupted and Val of Reflections, I refined the beautiful glass heart. I added the gold arrow afterwards.

Patrick

Patrick of inside: patrick's daily journal answered the question "If you could produce a 15-second TV commercial to advertise your journal, what would it be?" with the following script:

Black background. Phrases written in white fade in, then fade out:

FADE IN:

"Do you wish you knew where your life was headed?"

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

"Do you want to find your true calling?"

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

"Do you long for a significant other?"

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

"Do you:"

FADE OUT.

(Quick series of overlapping phrases fill the screen)

"Eat too much fast food?" "Stay up all night talking about nothing?" "Visit the mall for no particular reason?" "Go on disatrous dates?" "Go to the movies too often?" "Listen to music you're ashamed to admit to?" "Fall in love on the internet?" "Secretly believe you're a superhero?" "Think your cat annoys you on purpose?"

FADE OUT

(Short pause, then...)

FADE IN:

"Me Too."

"Read About It."

FADE OUT.

Very cool! So, I made an animated GIF. It's huge. I couldn't compress it any smaller. I will probably try to do the same thing with Flash. Here is that animated GIF. It's huge. You have been warned.
